Be Crazy.Be Wild.Live.Laugh.&Love

I may not be a full blooded Iranian or the “best” Iranian there is out there, but what i ask, what would be considered the “best” Iranian? Drive a Mercedes or live off of my parents money? Decide that physical beauty has greater importance than internal beauty? (because internal beauty is eternal beauty.) Or should I just seclude myself from the entire persian community and try to do my own thing? But God forbid I try to go and do that, my name gets ruined and they will think I would have become “Americanized” Fine, I won’t go hang out with my American friends, but I will probably go and get close with my religion. I done that, but what happened, i wasn’t “iranian” but people thought I was a prude or something of the sort. Not only that, I just wasn’t happy.

In the end, I am left here confused and trying to figure out what a “real” iranian is classified as. I’m not saying I have anything against any persian, I am happy they are doing what they are happy with, but why is it that whenever I try to get to know someone and they know I am persian, they automatically assume I got my nose done or i drive a benz. My answer is no to all of those because I dont live off of my parents nor do i drive a benz (2011 nissan sentra) nor do I  thrive my life on name-brands, but I am very happy with the person I am.

How did Iranians get this stereotype and should we be proud of it?

As unsafe this entire setup may look, this to me, is the definition of romantic. This would lure me into any mans hand

and sometimes all one needs is a moment to themselves
